AutoCAD 10, 11, 12 and 13 Installation Notes
***********************************************************************
READ THIS FILE COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO USE THIS PRODUCT !
You must run QUICK SETUP from the Main Menu and select an appropriate
monitor type, prior to installing the AutoCAD Display Driver.
IMPORTANT: This driver is intended for use with AutoCAD Release 10/386,
11, 12 and 13, Protected mode only.

1.0 Installation Notes for AutoCAD 386
1) Make sure AutoCAD has already been installed on your hard drive.
2) To complete the install successfully, you will require the following
information:
a) The full path name of the AutoCAD directory.
b) The ATI batch file is called ADIACAD.BAT for AutoCAD 10 and 11.
3) From the "Drivers Installation" menu, select AutoCAD.
4) When INSTALL has completed copying all necessary files, exit the
program.
5) Please note that if you install the 386 Protected mode driver files
into an alternate sub-directory, you will have to alter your ACADDRV
environment variable in your AutoCAD batch file to include the alternate
386 Protected mode driver sub-directory.
E.g.: Default environment variable for AutoCAD, release 12
SET ACADDRV = C:\ACAD\DRV
After alteration SET ACADDRV = C:\ACAD\DRV;C:\ATI_DRV
Default environment variable for AutoCAD release 13
SET ACADDRV = C:\ACADR13\DOS\DRV
After alteration SET ACADDRV = C:\ACADR13\DOS\DRV;C:\ATI_DRV
Note: Where ATI_DRV is your alternate 386 Protected mode driver
sub-directory.
Note: For AutoCAD release 10 and 11 (Protected Mode) see instructions #7.
6) For AutoCAD, release 12 and 13 follow these steps:
a) In the AutoCAD directory, run AutoCAD with the option -R to
configure the video display (e.g. : ACADR12 -R).
b) Select 3. Configure video display.
c) Select TurboDLD Classic...
d) Select the appropriate graphics card from the list.
e) Select the desired resolution and color depth.
7) For AutoCAD, release 10 and 11 follow these steps:
a) Go to the directory where the 386 Protected mode driver files
are installed and run ADIACAD.BAT
b) In the AutoCAD directory, run AutoCAD to configure the driver.
c) Enter the Configuration menu.
d) Select Configure Video Display.
e) select "ADI P386 v4.0/4.1 ...".
f) Select the desired resolution and color depth.
8) For further details, please see MANUAL.TXT and README.DLD after
installing the driver. The files will be copied to user-specified
DRIVER sub-directory.
